About the Role

We are looking for an Automation Tester to join the IDVerse team in Sydney. This role involves evaluating new and existing features, automating tests to identify and resolve bugs, and improving the overall quality of our digital identity verification technology.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of test automation strategies and execution.
• Drive systematic quality improvements across API, app, and UI layers in collaboration with engineering, product, and UX teams.
• Build and maintain automated tests using Node.js, JavaScript with Mocha + WebdriverIO, and Appium.
• Design automation for complex, stateful workflows including authentication handling, session management, webhooks, and end-to-end validation.
• Collaborate with the QA team to automate testing for new and existing features.
• Identify, log, and document software bugs and anomalies using bug-tracking tools.
• Monitor, track, and assist in troubleshooting defects, working closely with developers.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and QA planning meetings.

Requirements

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong team working, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
• 2+ years of hands-on Javascript coding experience and the ability to build/maintain test automation in a codebase.
• Experience with Appium, Javascript, NodeJS, Mocha, Webdriver.io.
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Demonstrated experience in automating complex API or UI workflows.
• Demonstrated experience in automating complex mobile applications both Hybrid and native.
• Experience in using JIRA to view and update testing tickets/requirements.
• Experience using Postman and Figma.
• Demonstrated experience in automating complex stateful API and UI workflows, including authentication handling, session management, webhooks, and end-to-end validation.
