About the Role
The Credit Analyst evaluates the financial background and creditworthiness of applicants for auto loans and lease financing. This role utilizes financial data and credit reports to make informed loan approval recommendations, directly impacting the company's risk management and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze loan applications, including credit reports, income statements, and financial documents.
- Assess applicant repayment ability based on credit history, income, employment stability, and debt-to-income ratio.
- Identify potential red flags or high-risk applicants and escalate for further review.
- Make loan application recommendations based on assessments while adhering to policies and guidelines.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and underwriting teams to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Ensure all assessments are conducted with appropriate research and reflect current policies and standards.
Requirements
- Prior credit underwriting experience.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, credit reports, and risk assessment tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and internal teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and analytical tools.
