About the Role
Join the team at the Sydney Opera House as a Control Room Operator, where you’ll use advanced security systems to proactively monitor the precinct, detect threats early and coordinate responses to security, fire, medical and emergency incidents. Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor the precinct using advanced security systems.
- Detect threats early.
- Coordinate responses to security, fire, medical and emergency incidents.
Requirements
- Demonstrated operational experience within a security control room environment, utilising a range of security systems, within a high profile or high public visitation site.
- Proven experience in investigating security, medical, fire or emergency related incidents through the examination of related security systems.
- High level of attention to detail and the ability to resolve problems requiring interpretation and assessment of complex situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
- Strong administrative and report writing skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions in complex environments that have the potential to jeopardise the safety of people and the integrity of the building.
- Current Class 1A & 1E (1AE) Certificate II in Security Operations.
- A valid WWCC (working with children clearance).
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts on a 24/7 rotating roster pattern.
- Existing Australian work rights.
- Satisfactory National Police Check.
- Satisfactory Pre-Employment Health Assessment.

Salary/Compensations
- Base wage of $36.74 per hour plus 25.6% Composite Penalty and 12% Superannuation Contributions
