About the Role
The Systems Engineer will define and execute system requirements and tests, and cross-functionally lead stakeholders and development teams throughout the end-to-end software development process to deliver a valuable product. This role aims to grow and deploy products as part of Toyota’s next-generation driver assistance systems, providing safer driving and more comfortable mobility to customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Survey AD/ADAS market trends and propose AD/ADAS system requirements based on survey results.
- Align and associate system requirements and tests with application requirements and tests.
- Define and manage application requirements and tests, including test environment setup and script development.
- Plan and manage short- to mid-term product development schedules.
- Promote issue management and drive problem resolution in agile development.
- Facilitate communication and alignment among stakeholders, including customers and development teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mass-production development of automotive control systems or Navigation systems for cars.
- Experience in system requirements definition and/or system test definition.
- Coding experience (programming language and system scale not limited).
- Experience coordinating and negotiating with multiple stakeholders.
- Native level Japanese proficiency.
Skills
- Evaluation pipeline design and implementation
- Data extraction and analysis using SQL
- Geospatial data visualization and editing using QGIS
- Embedded software knowledge and implementation experience
- Agile software management tools experience
- In-vehicle communication (CAN/Ethernet) design knowledge/experience
- Database handling, including migration knowledge/experience
- FMEA/FTA experience
- Ability to work in English
