About the Role
This position is responsible for driving sales in Joybird’s showrooms and delivering the best possible overall customer experience as a member of the Retail Sales team.
Responsibilities
- Opening and closing the store and performing other duties in the absence of management.
- Opening and closing the store with store keys and alarm code.
- Daily sales reporting to retail leadership.
- Overseeing the sales floor during high volume periods, providing support to the sales team, and supervising to ensure financial goals are met and associates provide excellent service.
- Serving as a role model in sales generation and customer service by relentlessly delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Maintaining showroom design and visual standards using merchandising guidelines.
- Maximizing sales by growing and maintaining a strong client base through personal clientele, follow-up, phone calls, and personalized outreach.
- Assisting the leadership team in creating programs and initiatives to enhance customer experiences.
- Sharing customer needs and feedback insights with product, marketing, and technology teams.
- Listening to and acknowledging customer feedback and complaints, empathizing, and presenting the best possible solution.
Requirements
- 2+ years retail sales experience with shift supervision experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
- No travel required.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to routinely move objects weighing over 50 pounds.
- Understanding of safety requirements.

- $18 per hour
- UNCAPPED commission on written sales – 2% on all sales
- Monthly bonus opportunity of $500 based on meeting specific individual sales goals
