About the Role
This role supports the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations, and assumes shift management responsibilities when managers are absent.
Responsibilities
- Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
- Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
- Process all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner, contacting customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
- Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure, utilizing the electronic outside purchase order ledger.
- Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and courteously, issuing accurate refunds using correct payment methods, and correctly processing or staging returned merchandise.
- Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before product leaves the store.
- Communicate Zipline messages and delegate/complete Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
- Ensure team members adhere to the posted work schedule, obtain management approval for changes/deviations, and clock in/out according to company policy.
- Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors, securing the building, arming/disarming security alarms, and checking/securing/locking delivery vehicle(s) in designated areas.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain RSS Certification
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts
- Automotive systems and repair knowledge
- ASE Certification
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
Salary/Compensations
- Hourly Pay Range: $19.18 - $25.00
- Actual hourly rate will meet or exceed local minimum wage
- Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or hourly premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed
