About the Role

Support people with disability living in shared housing, providing personal care and daily living assistance. Successful candidates will work within a varied environment which may include behaviours of concern, high medical needs, high intensity daily personal activities, and heavy hoisting and manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
• Provide assistance with High Intensity daily personal activities
• Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
• Maintain thorough record keeping
• Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
• Advocate for client choice and control

Requirements

• Experience working with people with disability
• Previous experience working behaviours of concern
• Prior experience working with high medical needs
• Confidence in driving a wheelchair van
• Manual Handling and Hoisting experience
• An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
• A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check
• Obtain an NDIS Clearance
