About the Role
As a Cashier, you provide fast and friendly customer service, process transactions, answer questions, and ensure a positive customer experience. This role may also include duties as a sales associate or merchandiser/stock associate. Internally, you will be referred to as a Front End Team Member and report to the store management team.
Responsibilities
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including identification verification, payment handling, inquiry answering, loyalty program promotion, and product bagging.
- Deliver exceptional service and a personalized experience by greeting customers, building relationships, and informing about products and services.
- Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
- Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to alcohol sales and maintain a safe, compliant store environment.
- Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other assigned duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Passion for best-in-class customer service and a team player mindset.
- 1-3 years of work experience.
- 1+ years of experience in a retail setting preferred.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8-10 hours a day.
- Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets.
- Ability to climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead repeatedly.
