About the Role

This role is essential for building the company brand through excellent customer service. Responsibilities include maximizing product inventory and supporting online business operations to ensure a positive shopping experience. Positions, both part-time and full-time, primarily focus on merchandising but may include sales, front end, or other duties. Internally, the role is referred to as Merchandiser and reports to store management.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize product inventory, including processing freight, organizing and distributing, pulling and stocking merchandise, building displays, and placing signage.
  • Support digital business operations by fulfilling orders and assisting with in-store, curbside pick-up, and delivery services, including driving if assigned.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and personalized experiences by greeting customers, building relationships, and informing about products and services.
  • Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
  • Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
  • Maintain store safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to alcohol sales and maintain a safe, compliant store environment.
  • Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other assigned duties.
  • Load and deliver orders safely and professionally, following company policies and traffic laws, if delivery is an essential function.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience, with 1+ years in a retail setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to walk, bend repeatedly, and stand for 8-10 hours a day.
  • Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets.
  • Ability to climb ladders and repeatedly lift 50 lbs. overhead.

Skills

  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software.
