About the Role
Join the Discovery family, where quality and service are paramount. This seasonal role, available from May 1, 2026, to October 7, 2026, is located at Discovery Land Company’s Hamptons locations: Dune Deck Beach Club in Westhampton Beach, New York, and The Hills in East Quogue, New York. The employer of record is DLV Hamptons Management LLC. H-2B visa sponsorship is available for in-country extensions. In this position, you will contribute to creating the Discovery Land Company experience for members and employees.
Responsibilities
- Support the Food and Beverage Director and Manager in effectively managing the restaurant and outlets.
- Ensure floor presence and attend/initiate department meetings as necessary.
- Professionally and courteously assist with member or guest issues and concerns.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of restaurant menu items and food and beverage pairings.
- Ensure continual product quality control and daily maintenance of procedures.
- Maintain stock levels of snacks, candies, and beverages in the restaurant, sales office, and golf areas.
- Ensure all cleaning schedules, temperature records, and opening/closing checklists are completed and recorded daily for all F&B outlets.
- Assist with basic duties including running food, clearing tables, and resetting china, glassware, or silverware.
- Perform simple food preparation and serving of golf course outlet menu items.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, company policies, and government safety, health, and security standards.
- Monitor F&B outlet inventory levels through regular checks.
- Act as the central point of communication when par levels are low.
- Receive, stock, and inventory outlet food and beverage deliveries.
- Ensure all equipment is appropriately handled and maintained by food and beverage staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ten months of front-of-house experience in high-volume restaurants, resorts, or private clubs.
- Knowledgeable of wines and beverages.
- Extraordinary attention to detail, quality, and service.
- Ability to work in a team with a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and shifts over eight hours.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for over eight hours.
- Ability to lift, carry, bend, stoop, squat, reach, push, and pull.
- Ability to lift and carry items, sometimes over 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of ServSafe and safe food handling practices.
- Willingness to undergo an employer-paid background check.
