About the Role
This role contributes to creating the Discovery Land Company experience for members and employees, upholding the company's commitment to quality and service.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and members promptly and politely, using names when possible.
- Demonstrate knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including preparation, components, and allergens.
- Assist with member or guest issues professionally and promptly.
- Run food, clear tables, and reset China, glassware, or silverware as needed.
- Support the team for efficient service.
- Accurately input orders into the point-of-sale system and ensure check accuracy.
- Prioritize communication with team members and managers during service.
- Complete all opening and closing procedures as instructed.
- Maintain attention to detail, checking all restaurant areas for cleanliness.
- Assist with executing departmental goals and objectives.
- Monitor inventory levels through regular checks.
- Maintain and properly handle all equipment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Six months of experience in high-volume restaurants, resorts, or private clubs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and shifts over eight hours.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for over four hours.
- Ability to lift, carry, bend, stoop, squat, reach, push, and pull.
- Ability to lift and carry items sometimes greater than 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of safe food handling practices.
- Successful completion of an employer-paid background check.
