About the Role

The Strategy & Operations team within Disney Entertainment and ESPN - Product and Technology shapes the organization’s long-term vision, develops actionable product strategies, and executes critical near-term priorities. Reporting directly to the Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO), the team uses strategic analysis, creative storytelling, and operational rigor to surface insights, frame trade-offs, and guide senior leadership decision-making. As a Principal of Advertising Platforms Strategy & Operations, you will serve as the analytical backbone and connective tissue for the AdTech organization, applying data-driven rigor and execution discipline to set OKR targets, manage performance, and maintain operational momentum.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the OKR-setting process for AdTech leadership, including objective setting, target definition through informed analysis, and managing recurring performance reviews.
  • Serve as the analytical backbone for key metrics, understanding data sets, identifying trends, surfacing insights, and collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to optimize performance.
  • Establish and manage leadership review forums such as Product Reviews, Weekly Stats, and OKR Grading.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve velocity and impact through operational rigor.
  • Partner with Corporate Communications, Creative Storytelling, and/or Workplace Experience to plan large-scale events where Product and Technology is represented, including town halls and offsites/summits.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in ProdOps, Strategy, or Analytics roles within top-tier Technology Companies, Start Ups, Management Consulting, and/or Professional Services firms.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in organizing complex data to create clear, concise narratives.
  • Strong spreadsheet (Excel, Google Sheets) and SQL skills.
  • Proficiency with Tableau, Looker, or similar BI tools is highly preferred.
  • Experience defining and measuring OKRs, KPIs, or other comparable success metrics.
  • Deep domain expertise in the Advertising ecosystem.
  • Technical fluency to bridge the gap between engineering roadmaps and commercial objectives within a complex organizational environment.
  • Proactive self-starter with a passion for driving outcomes and a bias for action.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to conduct executive-level discussions.
  • Team-oriented culture carrier with a proclivity towards cross-functional collaboration.
  • Comfortable operating in dynamic, fast-paced, and matrixed organizations with significant executive visibility.
  • Ability to influence in the absence of direct control.
  • Strong written, presentation, and oral communication skills.
  • Capable of developing high-level presentations for senior executive audiences.
  • BS/BA in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

  • Los Angeles, CA: $171,600.00 to $230,100.00 per year
