About the Role
The Strategy & Operations team within Disney Entertainment and ESPN - Product & Technology shapes the long-term vision, develops product strategies, and executes critical near-term priorities. Reporting to the Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO), the team uses strategic analysis, creative storytelling, and operational rigor to guide senior leadership decision-making. This Director will build and lead a team to serve as the analytical backbone for Product & Technology leadership, using data-driven rigor to set OKRs, manage performance, and drive organizational momentum.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing Strategy & Operations team, aligning leads to specific product areas.
- Serve as a versatile player/coach, defining vision and applying analytical expertise to complex problems.
- Drive the OKR goal-setting process across the Product and Technology organization.
- Partner with team leads to set objectives and define measurable targets.
- Manage recurring leadership reviews to assess performance.
- Act as the analytical backbone for key metrics, understanding data sets, identifying trends, and surfacing insights.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to optimize performance.
- Support CPTO-level review forums, including Product Reviews, Weekly Metric Reviews, and OKR Reviews.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve velocity and impact through operational rigor.
- Partner with Corporate Communications, Creative Storytelling, and/or Workplace Experience to plan large-scale Product and Technology events.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in ProdOps, Strategy, or Analytics roles within top-tier Technology Companies, Start Ups, Management Consulting, and/or Professional Services firms.
- Experience defining and measuring OKRs, KPIs, or other comparable success metrics.
- Proactive self-starter with a passion for driving outcomes and a bias for action.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously with high attention to detail.
- Ability to zoom out for executive-level discussions.
- Team-oriented culture carrier with a proclivity towards cross-functional collaboration.
- Comfortable in dynamic, fast-paced, and matrixed organizations with significant executive visibility.
- Ability to influence in the absence of direct control.
Skills
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in organizing complex data to create clear, concise narratives.
- Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel, Google Sheets).
- Strong SQL skills.
- Proficiency with Tableau, Looker, or similar BI tools (preferred).
- Strong written, presentation, and oral communication skills.
- Capable of developing high-level presentations for senior executive audiences.

Salary/Compensations
- San Francisco, CA: $227,200.00 to $304,700.00 per year
- Los Angeles, CA: $207,400.00 to $278,100.00 per year
