About the Role
Business Development Executives expand Gartner's global market presence by acquiring new clients. They cultivate trust-based relationships with C-level executives, understand critical priorities, and deliver client value. This role drives the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closure and account transition, focusing on building long-term client value within a territory of Large-Enterprise prospects.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business opportunities with new-to-Gartner organizations in assigned territory, from initial client outreach to close, targeting Large Enterprise organizations.
- Convert viable prospects into active Gartner clients, owning the full sales conversation and negotiation.
- Transition new clients to the account management team.
- Build a pipeline of high-quality opportunities to meet sales metrics and KPIs.
- Manage quota responsibility for the assigned territory.
- Oversee complex, high-revenue sales across matrix and diverse business environments.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and account planning.
Requirements
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in complex, intangible sales environments.
- Business development or new-client acquisition experience in a selling role.
- Experience selling to or influencing C-level executives.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and forecast complex sales processes.
- Willingness to travel as required.
