About the Role
Maintain beverage control, ensure accurate pouring and serving, and keep the bar area clean and organized. Provide exceptional service aligned with club standards, meeting or exceeding member expectations, and consistently uphold the 3-steps of service to enhance member and guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high standards of service as outlined in the F&B service training program.
- Assist with food and beverage service to members and guests at the bar.
- Greet members by name, providing a warm and personalized experience.
- Accurately execute member and guest orders and requests in a timely manner.
- Professionally address and resolve member and guest complaints, notifying management and practicing service recovery.
- Prepare the bar area for service, ensuring all items are stocked at the start of each shift.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized bar area, including regular sanitizing.
- Complete daily assignments and side work to meet club standards, including restocking and refilling supplies.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the a la carte menu, daily features, and specials.
- Ensure all liquor items are properly stocked, accurately poured, and responsibly managed for beverage control.
- Possess clear knowledge of all liquors, beers, and wines available at the club.
- Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment, proactively assisting members and guests.
- Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Maintain professionalism and commitment to excellence in interactions.
- Follow safe working practices and encourage compliance with safety guidelines.
- Pursue personal and professional growth, maintaining required certifications.
- Resolve challenges using available resources and collaborate with teams to support club operations.
- Attend daily briefings and engage in required activities.
- Wear a clean, neat uniform meeting club standards.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in alcohol and food safety awareness.
- Previous experience in Food & Beverage service.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong commitment to ethical work standards.
- Comfortable working in indoor and occasional outdoor environments.
- Basic bar and wine knowledge, including cocktails and wine varietals.
- Ability to properly open a bottle of wine with a wine tool.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases.
- Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
- Effective communication skills, including talking and hearing, with sufficient visual acuity.
