About the Role
Join the Food & Beverage team as a Host/Hostess, serving as the first point of contact for restaurant guests. This role sets the dining experience tone, manages reservations, greets and seats guests, coordinates wait lists, and accommodates special requests, ensuring a welcoming and exceptional experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of Host Operations with a focus on organization, service flow, and guest satisfaction
- Manage reservations and cancellations
- Maintain accurate guest lists
- Oversee station seating and table assignments for a smooth dining experience
- Greet every guest with a genuine smile
- Escort guests to their assigned table
- Present menus
- Ensure guests feel their table was specifically prepared for them
- Maintain full ownership of the host stand
- Ensure menus, wine lists, and materials are clean, accurate, organized, and stocked for each meal period
- Monitor restaurant flow
- Update table statuses
- Coordinate closely with servers, bussers, and management to maintain proper sequence of service
- Assist guests with special needs
- Accommodate special requests whenever possible
- Answer restaurant phones
- Process payments in accordance with POS and cash handling procedures
- Remain knowledgeable of menu items, ingredients, allergens, wine offerings, property amenities, and in-house events
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the restaurant
- Participate in Sound Check meetings, team communication, and ongoing training initiatives
- Promote property outlets
- Support special events
- Actively contribute to a collaborative, energized team culture
- Execute all responsibilities with a focus on anticipation, professionalism, consistency, and elevated Hard Rock service standards
