About the Role

This field-based Clinical Specialist role supports Medtronic's Pelvic Health groups by providing surgical coverage, follow-up, support, troubleshooting, customer service, and education within an assigned territory. The role may also involve basic market development activities. It requires residing within the territory, driving to multiple accounts, and includes travel outside the territory for broader engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Medtronic Neuromodulation during surgeries and implants, providing necessary equipment and products.
  • Demonstrate expertise in implant, follow-up support, and troubleshooting techniques (device selection, programming, implantation, testing).
  • Maintain current knowledge of assigned and competitive products and services.
  • Proactively identify needs and educate caregivers and account employees for new and existing accounts.
  • Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on products and therapies through one-on-one sessions, in-service programs, seminars, and symposiums.
  • Assist district manager and in-house training department in educating and training new employees.
  • Provide sales support, including completing necessary documentation (implant registration, ID cards, packing lists) and executing invoices.
  • Place orders with customer service for pending purchase orders and product replacement.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with district personnel, customers, and other Medtronic employees.
  • Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects at regional and national levels.
  • Understand and follow all applicable quality policy/system items and work/quality procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED AND a minimum of 6 years of patient care/clinical experience.
  • Associate’s Degree AND a minimum of 4 years of patient care/clinical experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree AND a minimum of 2 years of patient care/clinical experience.
  • Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.
  • Ability to drive approximately 50% of the time within assigned territory.
  • Ability to travel overnight.

Skills

  • Clinical skill and knowledge (e.g., conducting a simple trial, implanting/refilling a pump).
  • Clinical experience with implantable Neuromodulation products and stim experience.
  • Experience servicing medical personnel on product use.
  • Experience working with a medical device or pharmaceutical company.
  • Clinical experience in a specialty area: urology, surgical, RN, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic, operating room, or home health care.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with sales and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to coach others on use of products and clinical applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize under pressure.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Salary/Compensations

  • $76,000.00 - $114,000.00 USD (Base Salary)
  • Eligible for Sales Incentive Plan (SIP)
