About the Role

Support the mission of the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) by assisting Application Support Center (ASC) operations. This role involves working with a dynamic team, with Amentum providing all necessary job training. Full-time employees typically work Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, though schedules may vary based on applicant volume and site needs.

Responsibilities

  • Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States.
  • Provide interior and exterior crowd control, ensuring only approved applicants and visitors enter the ASC.
  • Assist staff in enforcing ASC rules and policies.
  • Provide front-line customer service as a representative of Amentum and the U.S. Government.
  • Maintain a cheerful and inviting demeanor, managing applicants with sensitivity, courtesy, and respect.
  • Safeguard Personal Identifiable Information (PII), including applicant paperwork, identifications, and electronic biometric data.
  • Perform quality biometrics processing, capturing electronic fingerprints, photographs, and signatures within established times.
  • Screen applicants for valid appointment notices and identification prior to entry.
  • Utilize crowd control barriers for safe and organized facility entry.
  • Visually inspect applicants and their belongings before allowing entry.
  • Adhere to health screening protocols during national pandemics or health crises, potentially declining entry per customer requirements.
  • Conduct periodic interior and exterior facility checks, reporting concerns to the Site Supervisor.
  • Assist the Site Supervisor or government Immigration Service Officer in contacting law enforcement or first responders when necessary.
  • Accurately manage administrative paperwork, including tracking processing times, reconciling biometrics, maintaining visitor logs, and signing off on facility checks.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
  • US Citizenship required for facility credentials/authorization.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to speak and write in English.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of a scheduled shift, excluding meals and breaks.
  • Ability to hold and grasp applicant’s hands for quality fingerprints.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced public environment.
  • Ability to type and use basic computer skills.
  • Successful completion of biometrics training and certification within sixty days.
