About the Role

Equifax UK Ltd is seeking a Senior UX Design Manager to drive the strategic direction and delivery of intuitive, innovative software and platform experiences. This role is crucial for optimizing user journeys, understanding customer needs, integrating forward-thinking design solutions, and ensuring robust collaboration with product and development teams across global sites. The position is part of a Global UX Centre of Excellence, focused on building UX discipline and capabilities through data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Technical Product Owners, and Development teams to define design feasibility, technical implementation requirements, and overall product strategy.
  • Provide expert guidance and oversight on the creation of high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes, prioritizing customer needs and solving complex UX problems.
  • Directly engage with customers and sales teams to capture and understand customer pain-points, partnering with Product Teams to realize their product vision.
  • Collaborate with Global UX counterparts to lead the strategic governance, maintenance, and evolution of the internal Design System, ensuring consistency, scalability, and accessibility.
  • Drive innovation by exploring, proposing, and proving emerging technologies, solutions, and processes.
  • Clearly articulate strategic design vision, rationale, and outcomes to senior and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about competitor products, industry trends, and new design tool capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales & Product Teams to leverage research findings and drive strategic design decisions.
  • Lead and oversee evaluative user testing and usability studies on prototypes and developed features, working with the Research team to gather feedback and measure design success.
  • Champion accessibility by ensuring all design solutions and contributions to the Design System meet high standards for inclusive user experiences.

Requirements

  • Extensive progressive experience in UX/UI Design in a product-led organization.
  • Proven, hands-on experience applying Human-Centered Design (HCD) methodology throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Experience leading user testing, usability studies, and leveraging the Lean UX Canvas for rapid hypothesis validation and iteration.
  • Demonstrated experience designing to meet WCAG standards and applying accessibility best practices.
  • Expert proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools, such as Figma, Sketch, or UXPin, including their AI capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret UX Design needs from Customer Pain-Points, conduct customer research, interviews, and map out insights and hypotheses.
  • Ability to connect teams and colleagues to help solve UX challenges within a matrix organization.
  • Leverage insights and data-led decisions to inform UX and Product Design.
  • Exceptional cross-functional communication and influencing skills, with a proven ability to articulate strategic design rationale to senior leadership, customers, and engineering leads.
