About the Role

This role supports a development initiative for the Weston family, partnering with Wittington Investments Limited. You will collaborate with internal teams and development partners to enable data-driven decision-making throughout the development lifecycle. The position involves evaluating project performance, informing capital allocation, and shaping developments for long-term value and thriving communities. It is a hands-on, fast-paced role for a self-driven professional adept at managing multiple projects, translating complex analysis into clear insights, and problem-solving collaboratively. This role offers exposure to large-scale developments, senior leadership, and strategic planning, providing opportunities for career growth in real estate development.

Responsibilities

Underwrite and maintain dynamic development proforma and cash flow models for single and multi-phase projects.
Critically evaluate proforma assumptions and conduct market research.
Prepare financial analysis, development scenarios, and sensitivity analysis.
Evaluate market conditions to identify opportunities for maximizing returns or mitigating risks.
Monitor project performance by tracking financial performance, schedules, and construction progress.
Assist with preparing business plan presentations and ad hoc tasks.
Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis and understand project financials.
Build relationships across project teams to understand all projects within the masterplan.
Assist in preparing Monthly and Quarterly reporting materials for leadership and ownership.

Requirements

5+ years of relevant real estate investment or development experience within a development firm or financial institution.
Post-secondary education in real estate, business, finance, economics, or a related field.
Strong, in-depth understanding of the full development lifecycle.
Proven experience operating and thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Critical and strategic thinker with creative problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver results.
Familiarity with the latest AI tools is considered a strong asset.
An MBA or a professional designation (e.g., CFA, CPA, AACI) is considered a strong asset.
