About the Role

As a Senior Product Engineer, you will guide software development and product engineering teams through complex technical challenges, requiring deep analytical and problem-solving skills. You will blend hands-on development with technical leadership, evolving into a strategic orchestrator to eliminate planning complexities and streamline cross-team communication. Your role is to drive systemic efficiency, set elite engineering standards, and transform technical strategy into reality to fuel Docebo's growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis and resolution of complex technical issues by applying advanced knowledge and evaluating a variety of factors to determine the most effective methods and procedures.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to address intricate technical challenges, utilizing in-depth professional expertise and understanding of company objectives.
  • Mentor and guide team members in applying advanced concepts and techniques, fostering professional growth and ensuring the team’s work aligns with departmental goals.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Testing, to ensure the successful integration of different disciplines and the effective execution of projects.
  • Act as a technical advisor on complex projects, occasionally stepping in for the Engineering Manager, to ensure that technical direction is consistent with company standards and objectives.
  • Evaluate and adapt complex models and procedures, guiding the development of new policies and ideas that enhance technical operations.
  • Ensure that technical work is consistent with departmental objectives by applying judgment in selecting methods and evaluating outcomes.

Requirements

  • Exhibit advanced, wide-ranging experience and in-depth professional knowledge across both backend and frontend development.
  • Adept at resolving complex issues creatively and effectively, understanding the interrelationships of different disciplines.
  • Strong leadership abilities, focusing on mentoring team members and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Leverage 7+ years of experience in software development, with significant experience in both backend and frontend technologies.
  • Advanced proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks, such as JavaScript, Python, React, Angular, Node.js, and others relevant to the company’s tech stack.
  • Proven track record in leading and mentoring technical teams, with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative technical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of complex software development processes and the ability to apply and adapt advanced techniques to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills in selecting and evaluating methods and procedures for achieving results.
  • Direct the application of existing principles and guide the development of new policies and ideas in a collaborative and cross-functional environment.
