About the Role
BYD Automotive GmbH is seeking a driven professional to expand its BESS business within Germany and the European market. This role is crucial for advancing BYD's mission of building a zero-emission future and a sustainable ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to expand the BESS business with utilities, industrial clients, and renewable energy developers.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead qualification to solution design, proposal preparation, and deal closure.
- Work with the Technical Solution team to complete OTA and TAS processes for all BYD Energy Storage products, ensuring new products are ready for customer use.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in the renewable energy sector, including utility companies, grid operators, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure BESS installations meet local and international grid compliance standards.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies and transmission operators for seamless BESS integration into the power grid.
- Stay informed on changes in grid codes, transmission line requirements, and energy storage regulations.
Requirements
- Extensive professional experience in renewable energy technical support, sales, or project management, with a focus on BESS, PCS, or EMS.
- Strong understanding of energy storage systems and grid compliance requirements (IEC, IEEE standards).
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and grid codes for integrating energy storage systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and on-site project inspections.
