About the Role
This role involves freight and import coordination from Imerys affiliates. It supports the sales team by performing clerical functions such as sales order entry, bills of lading, and packing slips. The position also collaborates with production to ensure manufacturing meets customer delivery requirements and tracks shipments from production to delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage logistics for all consignment accounts, coordinating shipments from European entities to US sites.
- Handle the full process of purchasing, broker coordination, and receipt of all overseas purchases within the Imerys group.
- Clear import and export of all resell and purchased material.
- Organize all inbound and outbound freight.
- Work with trucking brokers to schedule loads.
- Pick material in the system according to warehouse pick lists.
- Check for material discrepancies in the warehouse.
- Reconcile freight discrepancies.
- Add freight charges to invoices.
- Receive incoming material in SAP.
- Clear crude and raw material from overseas to the site.
- Perform clerical functions for the sales team, including sales order entry, bills of lading, and packing slips.
- Collaborate with production to ensure manufacturing meets customer delivery needs.
- Enter sales orders and track shipments from production until delivery.
Requirements
- International logistics or supply chain experience.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks and demands.
- Strong problem resolution and analytical skills.
- Ability to follow prescribed steps in a process with little supervision.
- Above average communication skills required to interact with customers.
- Physical requirements are those of a standard office.
- Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with customers, at maximum once per year.
