About the Role
Provide a safe and engaging environment for children at the club. Supervise children, ensure their safety, and facilitate fun, creative activities that promote learning and development. Foster a positive, playful atmosphere, ensuring parents feel confident their children are in capable hands.
Responsibilities
- Be courteous, tactful, and diplomatic with members, guests, and children.
- Engage with member families, promoting club and children's activities.
- Promote youth/day care center amenities, programs, and the club with professionalism and service.
- Coordinate age-appropriate activities and programs for children professionally.
- Monitor and actively participate with children, ensuring constant supervision.
- Address children's problem behaviors appropriately.
- Assist children with needs, including serving meals and drinks.
- Ensure cleanliness of the youth/day care center.
- Complete daily assignments to uphold club standards, maintain organized workspaces, arrange entry areas, and clear trash.
- Assist colleagues and perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Adhere to all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Maintain professionalism and excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff.
- Follow safe working practices and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
- Pursue personal and professional growth, maintaining required certifications.
- Resolve challenges using resources and collaborate with regional/corporate teams to support club operations.
- Attend daily briefings and engage in required activities to contribute to team success.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification.
- Engage in physical activities with children, frequent sitting, standing, walking, and driving.
- Occasional exposure to temperature changes, dust, fumes, or gases.
- Squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, and bending.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
- Talking, hearing, and seeing.
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, camp, or educational settings.
- Experience in child supervision, activity planning, or youth programs.
- Familiarity with childcare health and safety protocols.
- Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and engage young children in age-appropriate activities.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with children.
- Ability to remain calm and attentive in fast-paced or noisy environments.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
