About the Role
Perimeter Medical Imaging AI is seeking a Toronto-based intern for a high-impact, 4-month in-office project. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates in CS, Engineering, BME, HCI, or Robotics who are eager to contribute to cancer surgery workflows by writing code. The mission involves automated clinical workflow integration and AI-driven tissue tracking for intraoperative optical imaging, focusing on building a proof-of-feasibility prototype from scratch.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the setup-scan-decision workflow to identify and eliminate friction points.
- Explore camera-based object detection and pose estimation techniques.
- Integrate tracking signals and AI outputs into a user-friendly frontend concept.
- Develop a tangible, working proof-of-feasibility prototype.
