About the Role
This role performs landscaping and outdoor maintenance, including mowing, trash removal, and site maintenance, to ensure all external areas and communal spaces are well-maintained.
Responsibilities
- Provide manual labor for campground opening activities, including basic carpentry, painting, and cleaning.
- Prepare grounds daily, including trash removal from the front entrance and entire property.
- Maintain designated areas of the property.
- Perform site cleaning, lawn maintenance, trash pickup, and arrangement of furniture or fixtures.
- Maintain flower beds and other trimmed landscaping.
- Keep work and storage areas well-maintained and clean.
- Operate small handheld manual or power equipment for lawn care (e.g., weedwhackers, hedge trimmers).
- Operate larger equipment (e.g., tractors, backhoes, forklifts).
- Provide guest service to help move or position furniture or fixtures.
- Provide directional support or guidance to guests through the property.
- Collaborate with guest service, housekeeping, and maintenance to achieve company goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Provide regular and reliable attendance.
- Adhere to health and safety rules and company practices.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of hospitality groundskeeping experience.
- Working knowledge of lawn care equipment and machines.
- All-Hands-On-Deck mindset.
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, or balance.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 75-100 pounds (with assistance).
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Skills
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to stay on task and work independently.
- Interest in providing exceptional guest service.
