About the Role
This role involves greeting guests, answering questions, performing routine maintenance, cleaning facilities, and potentially collecting campground fees. The Camp Host will also assist in promoting recreation operations and activities to internal and external sources.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests
- Collect fees
- Prepare weekly revenue and attendance reports
- Assist guests with problem-solving
- Clean exterior and interior facilities, particularly bathroom buildings
- Perform light maintenance
- Provide information about the resort and local attractions
- Pick up litter throughout the complex
- Maintain a neat and orderly campsite
- Assist other employees as requested
- Ensure the property is clean, orderly, well-manicured, and guest-ready at all times
- Perform other assigned duties
- Provide regular and reliable attendance
Requirements
- Previous customer service experience
- Thorough knowledge of recreation industry programs and amenities
- Ability to frequently sit, talk, or hear
- Ability to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Possess close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to perform duties in all types of outdoor weather conditions

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to remain calm and friendly when confronted with upset visitors or problems
- Basic writing skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to be on feet, ride a bike, and/or drive a golf cart
