About the Role
Maximize the sale of supplier brands to the trade and consumer through effective regional execution via business development off and on trade. Manage relationships to achieve company and supplier objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop direct relationships with key on-trade players and provide feedback to the brand.
- Plan marketing execution and branding objectives.
- Audit, classify, and prioritize key accounts.
- Implement, execute, and follow up on on-trade activities and sales against the brand plan.
- Lead events and experiences with final clients.
- Support and organize events and above-the-line activities.
- Conduct training programs for partners and key on-trade players.
- Support internal sales teams with high-value trainings.
- Drive brand success via training, education, and experiences for sales teams.
- Source "best in class" opportunities for execution strategy.
- Gather and analyze customer insights and competitor activities.
- Collect and manage client contact database.
- Provide detailed tracking and execution reports of performance against supplier objectives.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of industry-related sales experience in distribution, hospitality, or supplier community.
- Valid province driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance.
- Comprehensive understanding of wine and spirits, including regions/varietals, product/food pairing techniques, basic production, and service.
- Ability to adapt and assist a variety of internal customer groups and varying personality types.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Ability to create and sell innovative ideas.
- Goal-oriented, focused, and assertive individual.
- Ability to travel within the Province/Country.
- Ability to sit and type/keyboard using a computer for considerable amount of time.
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 40lbs.
