About the Role

The People & Culture (P&C) Co-op Student will work closely with the P&C Delivery & Talent Acquisition team to execute critical projects and strategic initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience to refine communication, develop process understanding, gain basic data and reporting skills, and collaborate with professionals passionate about fostering an inclusive work environment. The student will assist with day-to-day People and Culture activities, with a primary focus on facilitating full-cycle recruitment for GreenShield’s summer student program. Other activities may include ATS reporting, employee data analysis, managing job aids, and reviewing recruitment communications. The Co-op Student will represent the P&C team professionally in all contexts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day People and Culture activities.
  • Facilitate full-cycle recruitment for GreenShield’s summer student program.
  • Engage with talented candidates.
  • Assist in organizing engaging recruitment events.
  • Contribute to the growth of the diverse workforce.
  • Report from the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Analyze employee data.
  • Manage job aids and support documents.
  • Review recruitment communications.

Requirements

  • Ability to navigate between various stakeholders and make sense of high volumes of complex information.
  • Strong verbal, written, and spoken communication skills.
  • Excellent listening and empathizing skills.
  • Attention to the smallest details, requiring a high degree of precision and focus.
  • Ability to find, evaluate, and communicate information using various digital media platforms.
  • Proficiency in data analytics, online filing systems, data entry, and understanding databases.
  • Understanding of Microsoft programs including Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to create, read, and interpret P&C reports using data from HRIS, ATS, and LMS.
  • Understanding and interpreting data, and reporting on critical metrics to make decisions.
  • Ability to schedule interviews, review applications, or onboard employees.
  • Ability to work together with others in human resources and other leaders in the organization.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Ability to communicate with colleagues or customers who use English as their primary language.
