About the Role
eBay is seeking a PR Specialist to join the global communications team, focusing on company priorities like eBay Live, Fashion, Collectables, and C2C selling. This role involves close collaboration with local and global partners across PR, communications, marketing, brand, and business units, with colleagues in the UK, US, Germany, France, and Italy.
Responsibilities
- Help drive eBay’s consumer narrative and value proposition across Live selling, Fashion, Collectables and C2C.
- Execute integrated strategies and campaigns that extend beyond typical PR to drive marketplace consideration through earned media.
- Partner with eBay’s marketing and business units, providing strategic counsel.
- Collaborate within eBay’s consumer PR team, vertical leads, and corporate/internal comms teams.
- Manage global agency partners on milestone campaigns.
- Foster relationships with key press across Live, Fashion, Collectables, lifestyle, and more.
Requirements
- An established track record within PR, preferably including both in-house and agency experience.
- Demonstrable interest in and knowledge of the Live selling, Fashion, Collectables, or C2C marketplace.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and across multiple time zones in a dynamic team environment.
- Ability to connect business initiatives to find and build news or identify industry trends where eBay can stand out.
- Experience driving successful PR strategies and creative campaigns rooted in business goals.
- Proven record of pitching and placing proactive media stories and reactively managing press inquiries.
- Excellent consumer media relationships.
- Strong writing and presentation skills.
