- Lead internal and external PSM audits and ensure timely closure of action items.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all registers (pressure vessel, PRV/PSV, boiler, gas detector calibrations).
- Ensure the Annual Fire Safety statement (AFSS) certificate and other fire system regulatory checks are conducted in a timely manner.
- Conduct Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), including HAZOP, What-If, FMEA, and Bowtie Analysis.
- Implement recommendations to mitigate identified gaps.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate process-related hazards across various plant areas.
- Review and validate safety integrity levels (SIL) and layer of protection analysis (LOPA) studies for the Ammonia plant.
- Collaborate with other engineers to review P&IDs, PFDs, and equipment layouts from a safety standpoint.
- Review and update cause & effect control logic and interlock systems for the Ammonia plant.
- Lead or support investigations of process-related incidents.
- Use tools like SCAT, 5 Whys, or Fishbone diagrams to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
