About the Role

Researches, develops, and delivers customized training and continuing education programs for fire and emergency services, individuals, and organizations. Provides consulting, program development, coordination, assessment, and evaluation services, focusing on training, selling, and marketing within the college's service area and regional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Market and sell training and educational services based on customer requirements.
  • Provide consulting, program development coordination and management, and assessment and evaluation services.
  • Secure and administer multiple contracts and projects for training, development, consulting, conferences, and other services.
  • Develop programs and services to provide training and consulting to area businesses.
  • Direct the development of training and consulting to meet client-identified needs.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with fire/public safety agencies to influence workforce development in the Riverland service region.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with fire/public safety agencies, State/Federal/local government agencies.
  • Promote new program development and initiatives based on partner responses.
  • Participate in regional fire advisory committees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth departmental functioning and maintain organizational reputation.

Requirements

  • Two years of relevant work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Firefighter 2.
  • Certified Emergency Medical Responder.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Demonstrated budgeting experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to create training or teaching materials in a corporate setting.
  • Knowledge of instructional methods and training techniques.
  • Ability to work with little direct supervision, within general guidelines and state policies, in a flexible and adaptable manner.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to communicate orally in one-to-one, small group, large group, and instructional settings at all organization levels.

Salary/Compensations

  • $30.23 - $53.58 per hour
  • $63,120 - $111,875 annually
