About the Role
Keywords Studios is seeking a motivated Business Development Researcher & Lead Qualifier to join the Strategic Intelligence unit. This role is responsible for the front-end of the sales funnel, including research, market monitoring, cold outreach, and initial assessment, with the goal of progressing prospects to a quote request (RFQ) before handing them to a Business Development Manager.
Responsibilities
- Leverage market data platforms, internal proprietary Keywords data, and external public data to identify commercial opportunities and market shifts.
- Monitor emerging sectors, including the Globalize division, for opportunities where technical services can support rapid growth.
- Execute first-touch outreach, cold contacting/calling, and follow-ups for the initial outbound loop.
- Own the prospect relationship through initial assessment to uncover tangible commercial intent.
- Deliver high-quality, quote-ready opportunities to the BDM community upon client request for a quote or proposal.
- Use CRM tooling (Salesforce) to log all outreach activity and qualification milestones transparently.
Requirements
- Passion for the gaming, entertainment, and technology world.
- Active curiosity for research and AI.
- Research, analysis, and idea presentation skills.
- Motivated self-starter, able to run with initiatives and projects.
- Able to operate in a remote environment.
- Curiosity to constantly learn and improve.
- Strong understanding of market trends, industry dynamics, and the current landscape for game development and publishing.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to deliver under pressure and to deadlines.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working and communicating with executive/senior contact levels.
- Periodic travel to industry events may be required.
- Potential requirement to spend time with the team at regular gatherings in UK London offices.
