About the Role

You will take on overall operational responsibility during a phase where Safe-Hub must simultaneously maintain ongoing operations and actively advance a complex infrastructure project. As a central leadership figure, you will act as the liaison between the team, management, and a network of external partners and authorities. You will manage schedules, oversee budgets, coordinate planning and approval processes, and keep all relevant stakeholders closely involved to ensure the infrastructure project gains momentum.

Responsibilities

Real estate and infrastructure project development
Management and coordination of the €12 million infrastructure project
Building and maintaining relationships with investors, donors, authorities, and project partners
Responsibility for budget planning, milestone tracking, and reporting to the managing director
Accompanying approval processes and collaborating with architects, planners, and consultants
Content development of the project in line with neighborhood needs and the social infrastructure of the district
Team leadership and overall operational responsibility
Leading a team of 7 permanent employees, as well as freelancers and mini-jobbers
Ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the organization
Strategic and operational coordination with management
Further development of structures, processes, and team culture
Active support of the fundraising strategy for the €12 million goal
Representing the organization to public and private partners
Maintaining and expanding the network within the Berlin NGO and real estate ecosystem
Active use of urban development expertise to position the project with public and private funders

Requirements

Proven experience in real estate or infrastructure project development
Experience in leading interdisciplinary teams, ideally in the NGO or social impact sector
Strong communication skills in German (English is an advantage)
High degree of personal responsibility, structured working methods, and entrepreneurial thinking
Proficient in budget management, project controlling, and stakeholder communication
Knowledge of German funding and non-profit law is advantageous
Network within the Berlin real estate or NGO scene is advantageous
Experience with EU funding programs or public project financing is advantageous
Affinity for sports, youth work, or social urban development is advantageous
