About the Role

Oversee daily operations, assign proactive and reactive work, and follow up with leads/mechanics in the Maintenance Department. Reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and mentor assigned leads/employees in the maintenance department.
  • Communicate operational issues, monitor, and report KPIs/Metrics to supervisors and manager daily.
  • Interact with vendors to stay up to date with current technology.
  • Identify and correct equipment reliability issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Plant initiatives: TPM/Restore, GMA-Safe, ISO and GMP.
  • Review PM schedules, open work orders, and down machines to assign work to leads and maintenance mechanics.
  • Communicate with management and staff to follow maintenance standards.
  • Direct employees in downtime and repair time measurements, and quality of work to increase reliability.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Manager, leads, and employees to improve personnel utilization, material management, and maintenance processes.
  • Complete maintenance reports, purchase orders, material, tool, and equipment lists.
  • Develop Skill and Knowledge performance plans.
  • Conduct annual employee performance evaluations.
  • Conduct daily floor walks to engage with leads and mechanics.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • Some experience with plastic injection molding production and assembly equipment.
  • Established fabrication skills.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA guidelines and a sharp focus on safety.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and retain information.
  • Basic mathematical aptitude and skills.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints and schematics.
  • Tactful, courteous, polite, patient, and professional at all times.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
  • Proactive problem solver.
  • Very good organization, follow-up and time management skills along with the ability to effectively multi-task.
  • A high level of trustworthiness and the ability to achieve integrity on all levels.
