Responsibilities
- Coat high tech electronics to exact specifications using hand and touch-up methods
- Apply knowledge of various coating mediums
- Operate and adjust spray guns based on coating type
- Mix thinner and coating mixtures for optimal coverage and protection
- Mix and work with 2-part coatings
- Demonstrate knowledge of coating removal methods based on material type
- Organize "set-up" time for material sprayed on PCBs while working on other assemblies
- Run Precision Coat automated spray machine and/or Parylene Coating Machines
- Read and interpret Manufacturing Travelers
- Use microscope and/or magnifying glass as required
- Read and interpret drawings/working travelers
- Work independently as well as within a group
- Work with fine tools including Xacto knives, paint brushes, tweezers, orange sticks, micrometers
Requirements
- Ability to stand/sit for long periods during coating operation
- Possess good computer skills
- Ability to tolerate the smell of coatings and thinners
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
- Good dexterity and ability to work well with hands
