About the Role

The ideal candidate should have good communication and business analysis capability together with system development/enhancement capability. In addition to system setup, application development and technical support, the person would be involved in reviewing cross functional operation process to identify bottle necks of the entire process.

Responsibilities

• Process re-engineering and end user computing
• Business engineering and data mapping
• Set up risk/premium calculations
• Set up data mapping
• Other system supports
• Analyze back-office process with users and designing/developing new process.
• Maintain and update the process corresponding the business environment change.
• Handle actual reinsurance administration transactions as OJT to understand the process and explore enhancement points.
• Understand and analyze the reinsurance contract and load the information into the main system.
• Drafting process of reinsurance contract and give advice to establish the proper administration process.
• Create risk and premium calculation sheet in Excel, or functions by PL/SQL.
• Work with IT team in the head-office.
• Analyzing data files from clients and map each column to our main system’s items using PL/SQL.
• Data extraction from main system
• Creating reports
• Solution assist/provide
• UAT support of main system
• RPA (Power Automate Desktop)

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience of business application engineer as designer, developer or tester in a financial institution (insurance company)
• At least 3 years of experience of end user computing support (direct support/communication to the end users is required)
• Entry-level mathematical knowledges, such as sigma(Σ) notation, understanding graph are required.

• Standard SQL
• BI tools such as Alteryx, Python/Pandas, PowerBI, Tableau etc
• Microsoft Excel
• Version management tools such as GitHub, GitLab, ADO etc
• Power automate desktop
• Microsoft Office Specialist Certificate
• Insurance knowledge
• Programming experience of Oracle PL/SQL and VBA

Experience Level

Education Level

• Senior System Administrator / System Administrator (JITEC)
