About the Role
Drive adoption, build relationships, and make a real impact in Urology Critical Care across NSW in a 12-month maternity cover contract. This role is perfect for someone with an ICU, ED, Anaesthetic or Critical Care background that has transitioned into Medical Sales or an up-and-coming medical device/pharma rep ready for their next step. With innovative new products like PureWick entering the Australian market, this is a role where being proactive, confident, and “hunter-minded” will truly pay off. You’ll build new relationships, educate clinicians, and drive adoption of solutions that improve patient care and efficiency across hospitals.
Responsibilities
- Grow BD’s presence across NSW by combining clinical credibility with commercial drive.
- Build strong relationships with ICU teams, urology surgeons, nurse unit managers, nurses, and procurement.
- Drive adoption of new products (including PureWick) by confidently engaging new customers and identifying opportunities.
- Achieve sales targets across the Urology Critical Care portfolio.
- Manage a strategic territory plan with clear goals and prioritised actions.
- Maintain accurate CRM data.
- Identify product, competitive, and clinical trends to inform strategy.
- Partner closely with Clinical Specialists to support product trials, education programs, and implementations.
- Attend conferences, workshops, and industry events to build your network.
- Continuously develop your technical expertise in Urology and Critical Care.
Requirements
- Proven sales experience in medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
- Clinical or Sales experience in ICU, ED, Anaesthetic or Critical Care (Nurse/Tech is advantageous but not mandatory).
- Strong influencing, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence initiating and building new customer relationships.
- High levels of motivation, resilience, and commercial awareness.
- Ability to analyse data, spot opportunities, and manage a pipeline.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent communication skills - clinically and commercially.
- Tertiary qualification in healthcare or science (advantageous).
- Driver’s licence and ability to travel within NSW.
